For those of you that have played Ultima Online and are looking to get back into it, and even those of you that just want a fun free game to play, you should seriously check out <removed> It's free and T2A based with lots of extras, perfectly balanced and the staff are amazing, always taking suggestions and around to help out. Is UO public domain or something? If it's legal to DL the client I might just give this a try.

It is completely legal Mark. Free shards have been around for a long time just never with this perfect of a balance. The shard has only been open for a little over a week and we've already got close to 200 players and it grows daily. You can download everything you need on<removed> Easy UO is not allowed, so the economy will not be completely out of wack like some other shards.

As old as the game is, I wouldn't feel too bad playing against a free shard if I had at some point paid for the client. It's the downloading the client part that seemed dicey to me. Then too, you never know quite what you're getting when you download and execute someone's modded package.
