Very nice. I just got my upper back from bushmaster. Can't wait to get home so I can slap it on and take her for a spin. How does that Ruger shoot ?

The Ruger is a tack-driver. I love it. The heavy barrel is much more consistent and helped with the recoil(there's almost none at all.)

Recoil??? From a .22 long rifle? BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I have a Ruger 10/22 with the stock barrel and I can put the butt of the gun up to my crotch and fire 30 rounds and not even notice it!!!

Haha, well I guess you can't really call it recoil, more like a twitch.

And what in the world are you doing putting the butt of the gun up to your crotch??? :Q

I like the heavy barrel on the Ruger.I used to have one like that.

Oh yeah, so much better than the stock barrels.

What make is it? I have a 10/22 I would like to spruce up a bit.

Green Mountain 20" heavy barrel, Hogue stock.

edit: both are very nice btw 🙂

Haha, I always thought it looked more like a dressed up Remington 700 if you look at from the non-bolt side.

Did you install it yourself or have a gunsmith do it?

Yeah, it's a piece of cake to breakdown the Ruger. All you need is a flathead screwdriver and a hex wrench.

Because it is amusing? I didn't put the barrel up to my crotch, just the butt of the gun.

There is almost zero recoil from this gun.

You can't really expect anything at about 40 grains to have any sort of recoil. Especially with the weight of a rifle.
