Do any of you completely understand the entire C&C storyline? Its pretty complicated and strange. Heres what i think:
The whole thing starts with red alert 1 (despite it wasent the first c&c made, i dont think westwood anticipated the popularity of c&c and therefore didnt properly depict how the story goes), if the soviets win, then europe is taken over but not the USA, and as kane says in the end fmv, he and nod would take over in the early 90's or somthing like that, so the soviet union falls apart because of nod's agents within it and then nod makes its presence known, leading to tiberian dawn, which in turn leads to tiberian sun.
But if the allies win in red alert 1, europe stays free, the soviet war machine is dismantled and not allowed to build military hardware, leading on to red alert 2, where you see in the startup fmv movie that theyre not supposed to have war factories etc but they do. Resulting in the red alert 2 war.
That all mostly makes sense to me. Only thing i cant explain is why europe is under GDI control to begin with in tiberian dawn, if the soviets won the war. The red alert & tiberian storylines are definately connected though, as kane is in both of them. I read planetcnc's version of how they think it fits together but i dunno... just didnt do it for me. Thoughts?
