my suggestion is to make friends with a local speedshop. I did that and it was invaluable to me. Opens doors to better deals and help.Originally posted by: Toastedlightly

You could just buy a better carb. Replace it with an 1850 squarebore.Originally posted by: Toastedlightly
I have a Holley 4160, list #80457S. 600CFM, no main jets (gotta get some 69's), 44 secondary plate installed, vacuum secondaries (diaphram is ripped, need to replace it). There is no nozzle, the part was missing. the screw whas there, all the other accelerator pump parts were except that. Also missing an O ring on the fuel transfer tube
The vehcile this is going on is a 1974 Dodge D100 Stepside (w/ 318 V8 and an edelbrock D4B or something like that intake). It is basically a Warlock, or a black red exress minus the wood, stacks, and rails.
Get a full service kit, not just a rebuild kit. You get all kinds of extra parts that don't come in the rebuild kit.
My problem is that money is tight. A friend gave this to me for free, and so far it looks to need ~75 dollars of parts and etc work to get working right. Plus, I like to know how it works, not just have it work well right away.
I understand about money being tight, but rebuilding a carb can be the most gratifying and frustrating thing at the same time.
