I have slighly over an $18 credit to Apple

For working out, which do you think I should do;

1. Pick up a refurb shuffle (roughly $32 after credit)
2. Pick up an armband case for my iPhone (roughly $12 after credit)

i use my iphone for working out (just keep it in my shorts' pockets), but don't use it on the threadmill/running outside. Even with the armband it just seems too big. I really wanna buy a nano for running but don't have the money now, so I think i'll just stick to running without music right now :)

My vote goes to the Shuffle. I have an iPhone and a Shuffle and the Shuffle always gets used for working out (actually, ONLY gets used for PT lol). It's easy to clip on, just load it up with a podcast or some pumped-up music and you're ready to go!

basically my reasoning for not going with the touch (and the nike+ compatibility)

get a shuffle. the touch i have i use primarily for casual stuff. walking to class, waiting for people. etc. i use a nano to work out with. a shuffle will do you great as you could throw that thing around without worry.

shuffle. i work out pretty hard and i'd be worried about damaging the iphone if it were in my pcoket (dropping on the floor when on a bench or something) and it would be big in an armband.
