For watching videos and some light gaming usage

I would like to upgrade my 3650 to a 4000 series card because I have read that it performs better both with games and video. I might in the future do some video encoding but for now I mainly watch DVD's and play Hoyle Board games and do word processing.
I have a Dell 24 inch LCD monitor. I would like to utilize my monitor at its highest resolution possible.
Which of the 4000 series would be a good buy when you are on a budget of about $100?
