For Verizon network, help me choose Bionic or 4S

Which phone is best do you think, I have Itunes, but I also will be using the phone to refer to pdfs from time to time. Does Motorola update the phones OS? There are others but I like the Bionic and the Iphone the best. I have read through the reviews, so I guess I am looking for some real user feeedback. I am really kinda stuck.

Bionic would be a mistake at this point. The Droid Razr is basically its direct successor, and the Galaxy Nexus eclipses them both in many ways.

If you like and prefer to use iTunes, then the iPhone is your best bet.

On the Android side, I would take the Galaxy Nexus, the RAZR or the Rezound before considering the Bionic.

Yeah Bionic is old in smartphone terms right now, and if you are gonna sign a two year lease it really makes sense to get the very best you can find.
Go with Nexus or RAZR.

Actually, YOU need to decide first if you wanna be part of Apples ecosystem, or googles. When you've made the choice then you pick a phone. If you like the iOS apps and using iTunes, the choice is simple: iPhone 4S.

If you like Googles services better you need to decide between one of the better phones. Since I liked the Nexus especially Android 4.0, thats what I would pick. But it really is an individual decision.

I actually pick Android because for the fact that you don't need itunes to sync in your files.

Just drag and stop is more faster for me.

I love android and between the Bionic and the 4S I'd take the 4S as well.

You SURE you don't like the RAZR, REzound, Nexus?

At the very least, the RAZR is way better than the bionic.

Hey fellas thanks. I wanted to keep the cost at $200 or less. Employer will pay the monthly bill though. I hadn't considered the HTC so I'll look at that. Sounds like the IPhone 4S is the winner. I thought the bionic was one of the more powerful phones?

Driod Razr can be had for $169.99 on Amazon, Galaxy Nexus for $229.99.

The Bionic was very hyped up when it was first announced in January 2011. It took way too long to actually launch, and by then, it wasn't that impressive - to make matters worse, Motorola released its direct successor, the Droid Razr, about a month later. The Razr is superior to the Bionic in pretty much every way.

The Bionic is a dead product. Check Swappa, people are dumping it en mass.

Right now, the phone to have is the Galaxy Nexus.

Go to a Verizon store and spend a while playing around with each device. If you're going to get a contract and be stuck with it for a couple of years you should probably make sure you like the device.

You should also check to see if or when the Bionic is going to get an ICS upgrade.

Motorola announced at CES 2012 that once the Droid Razr MAXX is released (in a few weeks they claim) the regular Droid Razr will drop to $199. So if you can wait you can get the Razr within your price range.

Go with the Rezound, its $199 (same as Bionic), with a better display, faster processor and more intuitive interface. Plus, you get a good pair of headphones thrown in for free.

what is with the droid razr being over 199$?

The Samsung Galaxy SII for at&t is at 199$ right now (Bought it for 99$ at costco though) and I don't think the razr is more impressive that the GSII.

Rule of thumb so far is that any LTE phone on Verizon will launch at $299. Sometimes $249.
