man, must you rail a new guy if he doesn't know how things work? it's not like you can get accustomed to a culture quickly. as for the "stupider" comment, average sat and gpa has gone up here quite a bit, so they've decided to make all the exams here harder (ugh, it really sucks...).

If it weren't for USCs financial aid system (more than half my tuition paid by them, the rest from other sorts of grants. i only loan about 5% of overall tuition, and don't pay much as well), I wouldn't be here. The UCs wanted me to pay more (more loans, less grants and awards,etc), than this place. I'm far from spoiled.
