Face it. Criminals use guns day in and day out to harm the innocent. It is the rare case where the tables get turned. But because of the rareity, it just happens to get bigger headlines.

There are a lot of 'tools' and resources which we use in everyday life that can cause great harm, even death. Electricity, water, automobiles, kitchen and garden tools/appliances... the list goes on and on. It is always the case that making a potential source of danger inaccessible to the untrained is the best option.

As we all have pointed out, guns are not toys, so any adult who is irresponsible enough to let their gun be found by a child is not a good parent.

2nd. If you notice, it is very easy to find the "VICTIMS OF GUN VIOLENCE" articles, but very hard to find the "VICTIM PROTECTS THEMSELVES WITH GUN" type article. Why is that? It is because the leftist media wants to remove all the responsibility from the individual. Place it on a gun. The gun did it, it is evil, we must ban all weapons. BAH!!! Let us start holding individuals responsible for their own actions.

This site shows that only 30 children in the 0-4 age bracket were killed by firearms accidents. 30 killed in the 5-14 age bracket. No where close to the traffic deaths...



I understand your concern about firearms and I agree that there needs to be some regulation ("well-regulated militia" comes to mind from somewhere) but you can't take them away just as you can't take away people's cars even though they kill more people every month than gun accidents do in an entire year.
