For UK people - How fast is your internet?

I read this other thread and a lot of people in the USA seem to have 5mbit down and 2mbit up connections for like $20-30, im paying £23 a month for a 1mbit down and 256kbit up connection from pipex.

Whats the rest of the uk people here got?
