For those with gigabit or better internet connections - how is the perceptible increase in browsing?

Is there really much of a difference, in terms of web browsing with a low-latency 10Mbit/sec, versus 100Mbit/sec, versus 1000Mbit/sec (1Gbit/sec) connection?

I read somewhere, that web browsing isn't really any different, between 100Mbit/sec and 1000Mbit/sec.

File transfers / downloads (and I imagine, remote desktop), is greatly improved, but is basic web browsing?

Certainly, you could play more HD / UHD streams at once (processor and GPU capability permitting, of course).

Not particularly any different.

In a house of 4 heavy internet users we went from 150/150mbps to 1000/1000mbps, the biggest difference noticed is during downloads nothing else lags, I can still stream 1440p or 4k content with no buffering while downloading a game at 800mbps.
Others web browsing or streaming while I'm downloading don't notice my downloads, whereas previously with 150/150 downloading and streaming wasn't possible without buffering, and if you've got multiple streams or someone else is also trying to download something you would notice the congestion.

1000/1000 really is more about bandwidth for multiple users at once more than it is for a single user, generally wherever you're downloading from will cap out before your 1gbps limit is reached anyway, so you're rarely going to see more than 700-800mbps on a single download.
