For those with female friends

I try not to be sexist or anything but God all of my female friends are so needy. Just about every two weeks I get a call on how I'm a bad friend and all these things I've done wrong. When they aren't yelling at me it's always about somebody else. I don't have any of these problems with my guy friends. We don't talk for weeks and when we see each other everthing is cool. I'm really thinking about breaking it off with just about all of them. The time investment is killing me.

I think the girls like you. Ask them out.

Two of them are lesbians, so I think think that would work. The others I would never want to go out with. My main gripe is the fact I always am walking on eggshells with them. If you say one thing wrong the world is at a stop for them. When you're with a guy and say something bad they just brush it off.

I have to agree with the OP. I don't have any good female friends anymore because the time investment is just not worth it. Yeah, I could have a couple good female friends, but then I'd have to talk to them all the time, and have to hang out with them and go do stuff with them, or I wouldn't be their 'friend' anymore. My buddies, I can not call or talk to for two weeks or two months, then call and say "Hey, wanna hang out tonight?" and they're down.

I'm not gay, just practicle. I don't want to piss away time on women who aren't going to appricate it.

I've already got a girlfriend. Strangely I don't have these problems with her.

Wow, your girlfriend must be pretty liberal...

What, you can't have any female friends while having a g/f? It's not like we're married.

Finally somebody who understands the situation. I've got a friend who I see about twice a year and there is never any guilt of why we don't hang out more often.

Anyone else think the responses in this thread are very characteristic of the ATOT mindset concerning women (in which any time a woman shows you some attention it automatically means she wants to date and/or bang you)?

Oh no I wasn't implying that at all... it is just rare to see that.

I find it refreshing that your gf has no issues with you having "lady friends".

Heh I feel ya man. I just got back from laying out at the pool with a female friend of mine. Everything was fine we're havin a good time and I started talking to the girls sitting next to us. Apparently this isn't allowed? She has a boyfriend so I don't see what her deal is. You've just gotta realize that girls are nuts, don't try to reason with them! :p
