I'm worried that the US is not doing well in the PR campaign yet.

It's hard to do well in PR when the media is state run and the majority of the population can't read (so droping pamphlets isn't very useful). We're broadcasting over the radio 10hrs a day into Afgahn, though. Hopefully our "alliance" w/the Northern Resistance will give us a foot hold to start a "grass roots" PR campaign that spreads by word-of-mouth from village to village.

From what I read in the article is sounds exactly like what news shows do in the US. They do it to get people to tune into the actual show.

Yeah, in a way it does, but it still makes me angry. But then again, I probably shouldn't expect much from a news station that calls Palestinian suicide bombers "martyrs."
