For those who seen The Passion of Christ ***POSSIBLE SPOILERS***

is it really possible to spoil this story?

edit: i mean, i understand satan shows up in the movie but...really...

Spoilers? This is the story of Christ we're talking about...is there something Gibson put in there that we don't know about? 😕

Well I'd rather have some type of warning so those who really want to watch the movie and not know anything about this particular movie can see for themselves and not spoil it.

I think the point was to show that the temptation for Jesus to end his own suffering was there.

When are they gonna make "Jesus" themed roller coaster at Universal? Forget jaws.. I wanna see's the virgin mary and sh!t 😀

Well, I'll ignore the ridiculous, lame and blasphemous jokes and go right to the subject at hand.

I believe that Gibson was showing us that Satan is always lurking about. And that even when we carry our crosses (albeit not to the extent that Jesus did), he is there tempting us to give into him. And then when Jesus died, the small scene where Satan screems shows that he was defeated.

But that's just my interpretation.

Or maybe we could fit in line with the other movies out lately, "The Passion of Christ: Return of the Son"

So, Satan is the phantom menance? Hmm...

Is Satan the Darth Maul looking guy that shows up in the trailer? I dont think theres anything cooler than Satan as Ned Flanders.

JESUS DIES

there's you spoiler

temporarily...

the point of having satan is just as Gage said, so that their is a realization that he is being tempted to end his own suffering... Satan is tempting to Jesus by trying to convince him to take the easy way out and to release himself.. instead, Jesus resists the temptation and remains in bondage under his own will...

i dont understand why mel gibson played jesus. well i do, but i thought jesus was of african american decent?...this movie confused me with my teaching, anyways...good movie though.
