For those who purchased the AGFA EPhoto Smile Camera way back

I recently contacted Agfa Technical Support to inquire as to purchasing a replacement Agfa Photowise CD-ROM AND Serial Cable that originally came with the camera. Like the idiot that I am, I loaned the camera to a friend and he somehow MISPLCED both of these items!

No problem to purchase another cable from Radio Shack or wherever, BUT, I lost my copy of the software during a computer crash and HAD to get another copy in order to use the camera.

I was told by Tech Support that, "No problem, we will send you BOTH items free of charge. Just send in the copy of your receipt of purchase and we will send it out right away!"

Well, after much digging, I found the receipt and called Tech Support back to get the mailing address to forward it. NOW I am informed that they no longer produce EITHER of those items and have no plans to in the future!!! B.F.S.!!!!

Here is the real kicker...when I go to their website to download the software, it's not there either!!! I was told that the patch to the software can be found there BUT, they don't presently have the download for the original software and that, I should, "Check back from time to time to see if they may have it available sometime."

As you can imagine, I am livid beyond belief. And I plan to fire off an appropriate letter to their Consumer Relations Dept. to convey that message most thoroughly.

I would like to ask if anyone of you who purchased this software might be able to help me secure a copy SOMEHOW. If someone could burn a copy of it to mail to me OR, offer me any other option I would sure appreciate it. Otherwise, I might as well just toss the thing in the trash.

While I know that the reviews for this particular camera weren't/aren't great, I bought it so that I might "learn" and then upgrade in the future.

If anyone can help me you can e-mail me at: PretendHer@hotmail.com
THANKS!!!
