Max damage for FFX is 99,999. I did somewhere around 75k when I beat the final boss. If you character is doing only 25k, he is a relatively low level or weak for the endgame of FFX.

Also, no it didn't take any ridiculous leveling. I don't remember exactly what my level was, but I beat the last boss not even close to the max level.

I did have to level a bit more to beat Nemesis, or Omega Gold. That bastard has around 10 billion hp if I remember quickly. Hes not that hard, however, just tiresome.

No, doing about 25K requires you to complete about 3 of the standard paths on the sphere grid with one character, if not more (depending on which paths you take). Beating the game doesn't even require you to complete the main path for each character. It certainly helps, but unless you use some Massive AP glitches you'll be spending a couple hundred hours trying to go through the entire sphere grid with a character to get them to max out the damage they can do when equipped with a weapon that allows you to break the standard limit of 9999. And your characters certainly don't have to complete the sphere grid to beat Nemesis, either.

To say that a character that can kill the final boss in less than 10 hits is weak is just stupid.

How about we read here? I said that 25k damage was low for FFX's ENDGAME. Do you know what endgame means? Recent FF games commonly have bosses way tougher than the final boss of the main story. Emerald ring a bell? If Sephiroth at the end of FFVII was tough for you, then Emerald would be nearly impossible, right?

I actually looked at my save files, and my save before the final boss has 60 hours, which isn't that much for a FF game. My save after beating Nemesis, and basically being done with the game, is 95 hours. Neither are close to the "couple hundred" hours you mentioned or close to my total time in FFVII. And no, I didn't grind before the final boss. I didn't even really have to grind for Nemesis. Just capturing the required monsters and beating the required fiends put me up close if not exactly where I needed to be IMO.

I have no clue what you are talking about with the whole "3 of the standard paths" thing, but I could just be lacking knowledge as I never was that hardcore of a FFX player. I just kinda screwed around on the sphere grid, and the damage my characters did naturally went up (of course after getting them their ultimate weapons).
I hate how these threads turn into an epenis match, omg u thought it was hard haha i leveled to level 99, read the strategy guide and made the best gear arrangement possible, I am sooo awesome, seriously guys, you are so weak and I am so good so so so good.

Just shut it damn. This is even worse than listening to the best materia arguments that still go on to this day about FF7.

Did you even read the post? Neither of us said we did any of those things you listed. Actually, the argument was that I didn't put that much time into the game. I specifically stated that I didn't read any guides, lacked a lot of knowledge about the game, and 'screwed around'.

Sorry for me thinking the final boss was a tad bit easy being misconstrued as me thinking I'm awesome at a single player RPG. Who the hell gives a damn if a person is good at a non-competitive game anyway?

No one in here was trying to have an epenis match. Go back to complaining about nothing.

You should have taken the "THIS IS OFF TOPIC GODDAMN IT" approach rather than the "I'm going to attack the discussion without seriously reading it."

Also, how often do you really here people argue about FFVII? Since I'm a big FFVII fan, yet I've never heard one of these arguments in my life. In fact, I rarely here any JRPG e-penis competition. It's just stupid.

Yes, you get it!!! who cares if you are good at a non-competitive game, the problem is people always turn any and every game into a competition. Throwing rocks across the lake becomes oh I got 3 hops you got 2 hops blah blah blah. I read your post, why reply when I didnt read. I wasnt saying both of you, just you in particular. The other guy was just being a normal person.

Hrm

I never was that hardcore of a FFX player.

I didn't really grind at all.

it makes sense for your character to be as you described

If you read my entire posts and STILL think that I was out trying to make myself feel better by bragging about a non-competitive game, then I guess there is nothing to be done.

I was only trying to point out that I thought FFX was a bit easy, especially compared to the first FF games. I guess I can see where my comments could be taken as boasting, but that honestly wasn't my intent.

You know--I have this game but never played it any longer than 10 minutes. I got through the intro and just didnt feel like playing through the beginning any longer.

It's like, I acknowledge that it's most likely going to be a great game--but I just cannot find the ambition to play. The same thing happened with me with MGS3 (the re-release, subsistance). I had the game for a few years and it wasnt until last year that I sat down and forced myself to play through the first hour--and then the 2nd hour I was kind of impressed and once the third hour hit--I was TOTALLY pulled in. It was an AMAZING game and I'm thinking that this might happen with FFXII.

haha that EXACT same thing happened to me with metal gear 3. Acutally I never played the initial, I just had substinence. I played an hour in, was bored diddnt think it was anything special. Then I went and tried it again and got totally sucked in and couldnt stop playing till it was over.
