What do you tell your boss you're doing if/when they ask you?

I always say i'm doing "research" or "testing"

I tell my sup that I'm clearing my head from working with code. works all the time cause my co-worker goes out and clears his head via surfing. this works for me. although here recently I've been put on a project that isn't web code but keeps me busy all day. today my project has been put on hold until further notice

Sometimes code needs some time to run. Then there's lunch or snack time. Right now code is running.

My boss works remotely, so I have to submit a weekly report of what I've done which we discuss at a conference call. Basically I just use vague language to make it seem like something that took me 15 minutes really took me 4 days. I'm pretty sure he knows how little work I've had for the last several months, I really just do it so HIS boss doesn't get concerned.

As long as it doesn't interfere with productivity, there are no issues.
