For those who missed the 12x10x32 CD-R/RW at Compusa, they have the zip 12x4x32 (with BurnProof) for $129.99 (may be for $99)

So...

It seems the Iomega has started to ship a Sanyo CDR-BP1300P as a 12x10x drive.

Does the picture look identical to the 12x4x drive? There may be a new hack possibility... changing out firmware to make the 4x RW 10x RW?

Pure speculation at this point, I do not have any of this drive model to compare.

Even if this can work as the 10x rewrite... who uses rewrite? Last I heard rewrite was less than reliable.

What do you mean "rewrite was less than reliable?" Totally untrue in my experience. Maybe the person who told you that just doesn't have a decent drive, or they were using cheap blanks.
