Anyone notice construction crews putting up solar panels on the center strip in I-95? I couldn't figure out what exactly they were supposed to be powering...anyone have a clue?

No, that is not the setup.

The solar panels are arrange symmetrically in two tiers on one pole

imagine there being solar panels on those two lines.. Also, if there are cameras attached to them, I didn't look closely enough.

edit:
so..i didn't know that anandtech erased the spaces but just pretend the vertical lines are a pole =p attached to the center. The dots are just filler.

They had proposed using traffic cameras (speed cameras) at construction zones for automated ticketing, but they shot down that idea so it isn't them. I'll be traveling south on -95 on Friday -- I'll take a look. Where were they?
