For those who like Shuttle mini-systems...

These guys seem to have a LOT of alternatives! They seem decent to you?

ChyangFun?

They've got one of the "Shuttle clones" with a nice, rounded front bezel... typical square boxes too. P4 machines have 1AGP, 1PCI.
What I really noticed was this one: S668 which should probably excite the home-theatre crowd!

I wonder if an ATI AIW VE would fit in that lone PCI slot? (regular vs. low-profile...)

That would be awesome...except for the lack of an AGP port. Kind of weird too, since they go to the trouble of pointing out that the motherboard uses the 845G chipset with AGP support, but it has no AGP slots. I'm sure one will be coming though.

The one system I linked to didn't have an AGP slot but the larger cubes do. I just found this system to be smaller still. If you can live with the internal video (I could) all you'd need is a better sound card (maybe). Maybe just a TV tuner or Radeon AIW VE (7500 AIW PCI) and you're set. 😉 If you could fit it in that smaller-than-usual PCI slot. At least it's a little bigger than your average low-profile. Mod a bracket. 😀
