How do they measure something like C-4....when they say 2 tons of C-4, is that the weight or is it compared to the weight of something else.

Don't need to know how to make it......

So if someone uses 2 tons of C-4 to blow something up, they actually have 2000lbs. (or 4000lbs, depending on which ton they use)?

well, if they're saying "2 tons of C4", then yes, they have 2 actual tons of the stuff.

If they say "the blast had a force of 3 kilotons", well, that's a force equivalent to 3000 tons of dynamite going off, and doesn't directly tell you how much C4 was used.

I haven't heard of them using the dynamite equivalent for anything small, though. Usually it's used when talking about nukes.

which ton they use ??

what "ton" is only 1000 lbs?

2 tons = 4,000
2 metric tons = 4400 lbs, or 2000 kg
