For those who have taken Cost Accounting

Well I took an introductory course in accounting and I am currently taking an Accounting Info. System course right now. I'm planning to take Cost Accounting during the summer. I'm just wondering why does everyone dread the Cost Accounting class. Everyone is like "omfgwtfbbq" the class avg is a 34, etc. What makes it so difficult and tedious?

cost/managerial accounting is actually quite easy as it's designed to help you as a manager collect data to make decisions. Financial accounting is normally the weed out course. I took both and got an A in both, but Financial required a lot more work.

Depends on the teacher, but some of the test questions can be very detailed, and sometimes screwing up part of your answer makes everything from then on wrong. Biggest formula to remember is how much of X must be produced to reach a certain cost, or vice versa, as well as comparing costs for two different manufacturers, and the quantity needed for total costs to be the same for each company,
