Use speedtest below for accurate reading, don't use sbc speed test as it jumps around too much say 1-2mb/257-380 and is not a true indication of your 6mb/608k connection. Some believing so, goes back to bother the technician and say that their profiles have been downgraded again.. haha, they have been fooled by sbc poor test site that always give bad results.

It's easier to build a new house than to add on to one.

I ordered on the 3rd and haven't seen a difference as of this morning...will check when I get home. I'm 6700 feet from the nearest CO.

So spent 2 hours troubleshooting my line, ASI is sending a tech out to see why I'm only getting 1.1mps

Bastards keep threatening to charge me if the problem's on my end & acting like I've done something to slow things down.

They did mention there might be a problem with SBC's RT.

Finally, tech figured out problem was in SBC's software settings.

This is with sharing the connections with another user & a VPN

The ASI tech was really cool, gave me his personal exension if I EVER have any more problems.

Almost makes up for the 3 asshats I had to talk to before him.

1.5/896 isn't bad, considering the only other option in town is Earthlink Dialup! :Q

Wow, that's awesome! Sonic.net, which uses SBC dsl as their DSL provider, wouldn't let me upgrade because I'm 9000 feet from the CO, need to be 6500 or under. Damn!
