which warranty package thing did you choose?
i'm considering etting one in the coming months and i'm wondering which one would be best

how long you going to keep it? I bought mine almost 2 years ago and didn't have aprob till about 6months ago.
I need to have it serviced again (plastic case has cracks again) but the send someone out the next day 🙂

Notebook's lag behind desktops about a year. And the end of a desktop for a user like myself is about three years before it gets just to slow, this is about 2 years for notebooks. So look at the 2 year plan. I have a 1 year old Inspiron with a 1 year warranty. As soon as the warranty was up i started having problems with the screen. Should've got a longer warranty!

Well I took the screen apart and found a point where if I applied a bit of pressure I could get the red lines to dissapear so i insert some folded sticky notes and put it back together only to find it bends the outside plastic slightly instead of the screen so know I have a metal bar and tie straps holding the monitor against something flat. Problem solved, at least when i'm at my desk...

Get the three year--with any laptop you will need it. I have had four laptops in the last 2 years. Compaq and Dell. The Dell😀ead hard drive, bad motherboard then someone took it. Now it's their problem. The replacement Dell has been great. The Compaqs: two damaged screens, motherboard and hard drive. If you use these things and travel they will get damaged. Get the best warranty. R
