For those who have done data recovery

im using a data recovery program (getdataback) to recover data i lost on a usb flash drive;

my question is, how long does this process usually take? its a 256mb drive, and so far the folder on my hard drive that im backing it up to is 101mb, granted, its been 9 hours since the process started. should i let this continue to run or can i assume something has gone wrong?

It really depends on a lot of things (speed of the drive, data corruption, physical problems with the drive, etc.) but I would say that 9 hours to recover 101MB is probably too long unless something is wrong with the drive. If the files in the recovery folder so far are readable then the process is working and you might as well let it finish running even though it is taking a lot longer than expected.
