For those who have adjusted up from 1024x768, was it hard?

That 1024 res was a gaming resolution back in 1998 LOL

I cant imagine starring at the ugly thing.

Yes the higher in resolution you go the more workspace you will have. or more real estate for that matter.

Try to get a 1680x1024 laptop resolution going. Or like the brother said 1440x900 is great leap from 1024.

But ideally you try and go to 17 inch laptop screens to get those high resolutions.. gl

Its an adjustment? It was a sigh of relief for me when I moved from 1280x1024 to 1680x1050 and then to 1920x1200.

If t500 has what u need, go for 1680x1050. I hear of many who complain of 16:9, especially at resolutions less than 1080p, cutting into their productivity.

I moved from 1600x1200 to 1920x1200 in 2006. It was inconvenient for about two days as I had to adjust to a bigger desktop. Since then I moved to 1920x1080 (almost felt like no change at all) and I couldn't imagine using 4:3 or 5:4 ever again. Except for some vantage games.

I am most likely going to go 16:9 at HD+, which I believe is 1080p... I think! I'll eventually have to go that route anyway, right?

HD+ is 1600x900 while FullHD is 1920x1080. 900 is... reasonable.

In my opinion, my friends' 22"s 1050 vertical lines is fine for productivity but 1280x800 on my friend's tablet wasn't. I've always stuck to higher res since I could afford it but 900 may be enough for you.
