Here's what I found at CNET:
"Improve output with Samsung driver" - I got this printer for $70 at Staples after rebate and coupon. It replaces my old 6ppm NEC laser (which uses a $120 toner cartridge). I took Mark's advice and tried the Samsumg ML1210 driver, which has significantly improved the graphics print quality. It also allows toner saver mode, which prints about 30%25 lighter but just as sharp. Lexmark should upgrade their driver. Using the Samsung driver makes the Lexmark E210 the full equal of the Samsung ML1210 at half the cost."
Anyone a bit more savvy than I am, would like to explain how I can use the samsumg drivers? Is it as simple as removing the printer from the Device menu, and forcing the install wizard (upon re-installation) to point to samsung drivers that can be gotten from the Web?
This is great, since it will allow for the toner-saver function AND improve graphic rendering. I apologize for positng his as a new thread, but I wanted to make sure all you happy owners got wind of this.
