For those who are used to wireless

Would it be difficult for you to get used to a wired network again?

Ever since I switched to wireless, I find I'd have issues getting back to a wired network. Sure it's faster, but my place is also cleaner without it.

I have no qualms about using either.

Based on the title, I thought this thread would read something like "WE SALUUUUUUTE YOUUUUUUUUUU"

I still prefer wired when I can use it.
My apt gets unsecured signals from like 5 neighbors and my wireless just keeps going crazy and keeps switching between them. Even if i manually configure it to connect to one, if i go to a different room, it still ends up switching.
And yeah - its very slow.

If you go into your properties you can delete the access points windows will connect to... If you've got vista/mac I'm sure I can tell you how to do it as well...

I love having wireless... my tivo, HTPC, laptop and my roommate's laptop are all on our wireless network here and aside from the occational crappy transfer rate the network works great... I can't imagine having to carry around a wire all over. If the need arises I can always plug anything into our 24 port Netgear switch...
