For those who are SAAVY with JOB INTERVIEW process (SALES in particular)--experienced people needed!

My friend is currently job hunting...

He ran into a company...

1) Did his first round ON-CAMPUS interview with an associate of the company.

2) They asked him to fill out an online personality testing criteria after the interview...

3) He got a callback from the Los Angeles department this past week to ask him to come on in for testing...

4) After the test he was told to wait to meet with the VP/GM of the Orange County/LA region

5) He had a short interview w/ the VP/GM... was asked if he had a preference for the location of work... he said he didn't... was told that they would call him back

6) He got a Voicemail that evening from the SALES MANAGER of a regional office asking for a follow up interview...after setting up an appointment he came in that day and had an interview...

7) After the interview the Sales Manager told him to go home and think about it and get back to him as to whether or not he wants to take the NEXT STEP--and that he would set up an appointment with the regional GM/VP to settle a COMPPLAN (?)

8) He called back the next day.. spoke to the sales manager.. and the guy said he'd inform him of the appointment date to meet.

PENDING....

Thanks for reading this far!

Where does my buddy stand in this scenario?? Is the job as good as his or does he have a long process awaiting?

THanks again

is it a salaried position or a commision position?

if it is a commision position, he gets it just by showing up.

if it is a salaried position he doesn't even have a chance unless he can show a track record of successful sales.

Why does this scream CutCo to me? Or that other clever scheme where you pay up $300 for a "license" to work for this company.
