For those who are hoping to avoid the BSOD when the XBOX arrives!!

LOL, I don't think I'll be getting either console at launch. I'll stick to PC Gaming for awhile. Maybe a Cube for Christmas.

Sigh... thoes bastards bought out shenmue 2. Won't see it on dreamcast in the US 🙁. I might have to look into buying an xbox just for all the cool sega game that should be on the dreamcast instead :\. Bastards.

if anyones seen and read X-box magazine they know that the X-box is the ONLY system worth buying! After PC of course (AMD1500+ /w Radeon 8500/GeForce 2). X-box totally out performs Gamecube and PS2 hands down. 😀

Duh! If I wanted to hear about how the PS2 is the ONLY system worth buying, then I'd read PS2 magazine! 😉

That is such a nonsensical statement...why do people always tout the XBox on the power of it's hardware over the PS2 (and I'm not so sure that the XBox will be that much more powerful than GC...but that's another story).

The hardware doesn't matter...it's not like a PC where any given hardware config runs the same stuff so you want the fastest hardware.

An XBox and a PS2 run different software, so their relative hardware is irrelevant...

Worry about which has good games....
Now, if you feel that XBox has the most interesting line up of titles so be it, but to scream about how great a console is over hardware is just silly.

The XBox is NOT a PC.

That's like me saying, my laserdisk player is far superior to your VCR.
Well...it may be true...but it's kind of a silly argument when you consider that the VCR has rather more title available, with rather easier aquisition.

And on top of that, XBox magazine is probably not the best place to pull your XBox facts from.

Both are primitive in my opinion... YAY 640X480! on a 36" TV! Yippy! @ 60Hz Interleaved! YAY! YAY!

Ahem... I prefer 1024X768... And a boatload of wonderfull textures... 🙂 Ahh.... Gotta love PC gaming... Though not for the weak in mind...

Your last sentance made me laugh man... And the guy that posted right after you.... You guys are funny 😀

Until now, it does look like the best.

It has a lot more launch titles than GC (besides Rogue Leader, they're all crap...), and I've played with my cousin's PS2 a lot, and it's not very impressive graphically... PS2 does have good games, but they've had a whole year to make games. I'm sure XBOX and GC will have just as much good titles a year after their launch.

The only thing that helps GC is its price.

Yeah, but you have to give up DVD playing for that price. 😉
Though I suppose you could just buy a DVD player 😉

anything based on microsofts yucky code is bound to be crap and unstable. Thank god for the gamecube. I applaud nintendo for stickin to their guns and building a GAMING system that does nothing but GAMING, which is the way it should be. I don't need some settop dvd/pc/console system, i already have a pc and a dvd player. I want a console system for gaming only.
