Massdrop right now has the O2 DAC and Amp in desktop and regular version. The ODAC is $119 and the O2 amp is $79 for classic version and $94 for desktop version with RCA outputs. Add to that the AKG K7XX for $199 and for a total of ~$400 you got yourself a killer setup.

The ODAC also has 2 outputs so you can also use it for some speakers like the Audioengine A2.

This is not a group buy as the ODAC and O2 amp are built by them and the K7XX is an exclusive can sold through them as well.

That's expensive. Probably wouldn't sound much better (certainly not $400 better!) than my current speakers. Sony TA-AV521 (Free) and Akai SR-LA301 ($25 for the pair at goodwill) and it sounds amazing and will shake the whole house.

Edit: I don't know what this Massdrop is, but it's asking me to sign in and won't show me any kind of product information.

I thought about it for a while...the O2 sounds pretty damn good. That said, it's just more equipment that I don't need/wouldn't use enough to justify.

My next home audio move: restoring my Fisher 500c. I guess I could call that my next headphone amplifier too? :p
