What's the best place for a newb to read up on it? Are there any good "Starter kits" or should I just go in and buy the best of the best? If so, what is the best?

The guys over at overclockers.com know their sh!t. Good reviews and if you have any questions, the people on their watercooling forums know ooodles more than most people here.

D-tek Customs is a good place to buy watercooling stuff from if you can get enough knowledge to know what parts you need. Innovatek makes some pretty decent kits. If you go with the buying separate parts and have any questions, just PM me or something...

Also, for what reasons are you considering watercooling? It's rather pricey... I believe I shelled out somewhere near 300 dollars for my entire setup. I made my setup for performance purposes so it's not super quiet. I could take a temp hit and drop the speed of the fan on the radiator and make it very quiet though. Make sure that watercooling is really something you want to go for and make sure your goals out of the purchase are attainable.

Well right now I am running a 120mm Delta fan @130CFM on my Alpha Pal 8045. I know I can squeeze more juice out of my 1700+ JIUHB if I can get it cooler (even though it is still running nicely at 43º @195x10. It's something that I am interested in...Not like right away, but I definately want to start reading up on it now because I lack knowledge in this area, and "knowledge is power"! :)

I already have the 1700+ tbred b, reread what I wrote. I'm trying to get rid of my Asus A7N8X in order to get the 8rda+, actually! :)

what ram do you currently have?

i have a 2400+xp, 8rda+, and 2 512 sticks of corsair 3200

with no voltage changes to anything, and without the VDD mod, i can hit 220fsb sync with my ram at cas 2.5, any further and i have to change the dimm voltage or change it to cas3...
