What's the pros/cons of doing this? I'm probably going to be "pushing it" this year, and am thinking about doing this online this year.

For those who have e-filed, how was your experience?

I loved it. Since I am just a part-time retail worker and therefore make below $X, I was able to file my state and federal taxes online for free. Got my return direct deposited into my checking account in about a week.

I used some free place online (last year, didn't do them this year yet) for federal taxes, and Pennsylvania lets you do taxes right on their website. Local of course uses the ancient method of paper forms.

Quite painless overall. Enter numbers from paper form. Click Submit. Get refund electronically deposited a few days later.

I did mine on TurboTax and FreeTaxUSA, to see if they matched.
Then, I submitted through FreeTaxUSA because it is cheaper for the State portion.
(both are free for Federal)

And, as usual, I got mine back in less than 2 weeks.
