For Those Planning to Run eVGA 680i & 8800 SLI

This is a heads up for those people planning on getting a eVGA 680i (other 680i mobos could be affected as well) and run two G8800s (doesnt matter wether GTS or GTX) in their setup. There is a known and confirmed sound compatibility problem.

I just ordered an eVGA 680i and one 8800GTX.

1)This problem only happens when using SLI. For those running a single card you shouldnt have a problem.

2)From what I understand it doesnt matter wether you use the onboard sound or a seperate sound card. The problem exists with either setup. If you have noise problems and running SLI the only solution so far is to turn off SLI. Thats the only current fix. They are working on it though. Given some time I assume they'll figure it out. Could be nothing more than a driver fix.

Update: Supposedly a beta BIOS will be availble tomorrow that should fix the problem. Keep your fingers crossed.
