was there a cutoff at your school?

meaning, if you are over a certain amount of credits, you can't switch majors

No, not for me.
I would check with financial aid though. They only pay for a certain amount of credits.

I switched from history/teaching to Criminal Justice the second semester of my junior year. A guidance counselor wisely told me I would have to coach something in order to be a history teacher. Many of the same classes, so it wasn't that big of deal...

However, switching to Quantum Physics would have probably delayed my graduation... 🙂

I am graduating in 8 weeks and I could still theoretically change my major

You should probably go ahead and change it to something respectable, like art history.

I am not sure they can prohibit you from switching majors

is that the case if switching majors doesn't delay graduation or by couple semesters....

or are you saying I can stay in school for 10 years if I wanted to by keep flipping majors(not saying I want to). I don't think they would allow that... at least the appeal process is required

Well I am currently a double major in Econ and Stat, but I am going to drop the Econ major and just do Stats with a math minor, and I only have 1 year left.

At my school you can make any changes as long as you can do them in under the 225 unit cap.

Switched from Comp Engineering to Business this winter (middle of Soph year).
So now I kinda "wasted" my freshman year and first half of Soph year. All I had transferred were math class credits and the hours I took at the college.

Yea I am on the quarter system. You should check to see if your school has a unit cap. Not all schools do, and every school is different for the unit cap.

PS. 225 Quarter Units = 150 Semester Units.
