It depends on what I'm working on, but in general, if I'm getting distracted, I would be getting distracted at the office or at home, either one.

True.

Have to actually put in 50+ hours at home to get about 40 hours worth of work done per week. Even if the office door is closed, things happen.

It's very easy for me to get distracted, but in total, I get more work done faster. I don't have to run to the copier, or the printer, or the fax machine, wait for someone else to finish using it. No one drops by to drop something off and chat for a moment or three.

It can be. I've recently spent more time in my office because of this (besides it's good to keep an eye on things :)).
