For those of you with Migranes - What medicine do you take?

My doc prescribed me Maxalt and while it does the trick within an hour, the side effects suck, specifically the fact that it can put me to sleep anywhere, anytime. I took it about half an hour ago and right now, at 5:30pm, I could easily just close my eyes and fall alseep. If i fight it for another 30-60 minutes, the feeling subsides and I'm ok... But it really makes me tired.

What do you take?

I get really awful ones to the point where my limbs go numb and I cannot move.

I take Midrin/Migrin for mine, pop two of those when I start to get the auras.

It is non-drowsy but I'm a total cock when I take them for some reason.. so I try to avoid being around people because I am extremely irritable when I'm on it.

Beats having a migraine though.

An ex of mine used to get pretty serious migraines...she took Zomig.

I had a pretty fvcked up head ache once, and she gave me some. It seemed to work rather well.

I had a severe migraine that lasted over a couple of weeks. The doc told me to use Excedrin for Migraine and that did the trick.

My wife was getting regular migraines, doc prescribed her Topamax which really helps (taken daily). He also gave her Imitrix which was to be taken when she felt a headache coming on.

Usually when i see the aura i pop like 3 excedrin, but lately i wanna get some prescription. I hear vicodin's good, maybe some crack
