I've heard what the plot is before (they had an interview up on apple about it) and it looks like they're pulling it off well. Very nice production value, I have to admit! You can see where the money went, that's for sure. The aliens (what little there is seen) look better than some of the drooling abominations in from Ressurection. I certainly would have to see more of the actual movie -- bits with dialogue and such -- before passing any real judgement on it, but it is looking like it'll be a very interesting flick to see!

I think the concept they are working from is seriously flawed, and needs to be completely wiped from their creative drawing board.

The aliens look alright, but I don't see how they could be improved from the previous movies very much.

Humans will be annoying - that is my prediction. Costumes look lacking, shown characters just look annoying.

why antarctica? to fine tune their infrared heat vision, i mean wouldn't you after some big dumb governor covered himself in mud and then you couldn't see him?

plus that's where their fortress of solitude is. mulder discovered it and it took off like at the end of predators 2

Honestly, I asked myself the same thing. Then I realized they gave this movie to the same guy who messed up Resident Evil.

It's like giving someone a pot of gold, and saying "spend this on stuff you like, but don't fvck up and buy something retarded like a huge rock" and they go and buy a mountain or something.

Doesn't look CG to me. They've said they're using CG only as "enhancement" for special effects, not to totally create the bad guys like in Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection. So it should definitely "look" more like the first two Alien movies and the Predator movies.
