I just recently built my first computer, and it works great; I can play HL2 at full settings beautifully. However, the reason this was made possible is because of the motherboard. I purchased the eVGA nForce3 Ultra Motherboard to go along with a 3400, 1GB, and a 6800GT. All I did was slap the parts in (not literally
) and turned the computer on. It didn't even need a disk to work. I didn't change any bios settings, and just stuck in the XP CD and away we went. When it was all set up and working properly, I did take a peek at the bios settings. There's a whole plethora of settings to change, like memory voltages and great overclocking features. All in all, this was an awesome motherboard to work with and is extremely stable. Look for the new eVGA nForce4 motherboards, they just came out. Don't worry, I'm not advertising, but simply helping out anyone who has their doubts about eVGA motherboards; put them all to rest.
