I was wondering if you guys think that the time 23.55 is a decent time for a sophomore in highschool. So what do you think?

For a woman in the olympic trials it would be decent. She would get to second round probably. I'm talking about HIGH SCHOOL. Lol, it's a lot different in SoCal than in the East. I'm looking for opinions from people on the east coast. It's much more serious there, there are a lot faster people.

Well, if you know women could make the olympic trials with it, I can go out on a limb and say I think that's acceptable for a 15 year old boy. I mean, women aren't as fast as men, but olympic women >> high school boys.

Its decent, and will win you some 1st places, but probably no prizes. 1st places meaning like at meets against some other local schools, but go anywhere above that, and you're just another finisher.

Did 11+ second 100m, 23+ sec 200, 1.01 quarter miles, 5min miles, 18min three miles

Really? What state? I plan on running a 22 flat this year because I've been lifting weights (which I've never done before). I've been working hard, and track is still far away :) Even if I run a 22.00, I won't get even close to winning state. I doubt if I'll get to second round CIF (southern california only, 2nd highest division). I also run the 100 and the 400, but I like the 200 best. Heh, I sound like an excited school girl when I talk about track. Lol.

You can't really compare it in that fashion. I'm absolutely horrible at long distance. My fastest 3 miles was like 21 minutes. But yeah, you're correct about the not winning anything outside of local meets. That was my last year's ACUTrack time. I plan on utterly smashing that record within the 3 first meets.

For a soph in HS it's an alright time. You'll have to shave off at least another sec by next year and another sec by your senior year to have any chance of doing half decent in your regionals. Assuming that you are a guy and that this time you posted wasn't wind aided.

If you want to start getting national looks then you'll have to get at least low 21's or high 20's by your senior year for schollies last time I checked.

Of course, if you want to make a name for yourself you'll beat Johnson's 19.32 ...

Yeah, I will definitely shave off a second this year. I hope to take off more than that, but a second at least. Senior year, I'll do my best to improve, but I'm worried about hitting my plateau. For scholarship opportunities, your times are accurate. Just hopin' that I can get some good times :) Also, that 200M time was with no wind whatsoever. We were at a place where all was blocked by trees and mountains. Thanks for your two cents :)
