I'm not sure the custom on it, is it customary to tip the tattoo artist?

Also. Iif yes then, then how much?

Are we talking the standard tattoo parlor, the Las Venturas parlor, or the hidden San Fierro parlor? I usually just walk out, shoot them to death, or drow a moltov cocktail.

No one cared before and no one cares now. Move along to the legos thread.

Back on topic, yes. I tipped for my half sleeve. It was a custom piece and it took a very long time.

Yet, for some reason, you had the desire to enter a thread specifically directed at people who don't share your views.

You're a bright one.

I didn't tip, the damn thing cost $250 to start with.

Sad to say I really don't care for it much these days, but it's in a place that will only be seen if I want someone to see it. ;)

At least I can say I got one and checked one more thing off of the eleventy billion things I have left to do before I die.

In my opinion, their charge accounts for the tip. I mean, you're paying them to do one thing: put the tattoo on you. That's what they do. Of course, this differs with other services (food, specifically), but I don't think tattooing warrants a tip.

it's customary to tip for both tattoos and piercings.

also for everyone saying that it's expensive or that they already make enough money off of it... they don't. the majority of the money goes to the shop to cover operating expenses. the artist themselves usually make very little.

tattoo/piercing isn't exactly an industry you go into hoping to make big money. people do it for other reasons.

Most people aren't going to want to look upside your nostrils, I'm just saying.
