if it's anything like my old toshiba, whatever color it used to be was rubbed off, etc by your palms.

Weird, never seen that. That's pretty much the only laptop we use at work, so I see a ton of them.

haha my D600 has palm marks too... I guess you can ask dell for a new piece if your computer is still under warrenty

My Toshiba has palm marks as well. It was like that when I bought it.

hmm...yea, i do have sweaty palm syndrome. i had a sticker located on the left corner. i recently took it off, and the area that it was in...is fine, but now it looks weird it almost looks as if i could remove it. Would dell replace the case though? i'm willing to do that. i already got my mb replaced because teh ethernet cable wouldn't stay in..haha.

I have a D600 but no palm marks, the heat on the left side where your palm rests however does tend to get quite hot so it's possible that's adding to your sweaty palm problems! I have thought about getting a pad to rest there... something like a small mousepad cut-out to help with the heat... but that'll only really help if the laptop's gonna be on a fixed surface most of the time i guess.
