For those of you who bought a PF-790 and submitted the $50 rebate, make sure you track your rebate submission online. For me, it shows up only as $20. I wrote to them about it and am awaiting a reply.

I just received the $20 rebate instead of the $50 one. However, I spoke to a supervisor (had to speak to supervisor - regular rep didn't help) at the rebate center and got it bumped to $50. I had to point him to the fine print stating that PF790 was valid for $50 in the 10/00-12/00 A90 rebate section on the website (www.viewsonicrebates.com). After that, he said an additional $30 check would be on the way.

i noticed that it was only $20 a while ago. i called them up and they told me that the rebate offer had different levels, $50 for the a90 and $20 for the pf790, and the rep told me nothing could be done. i also wrote them an email but have yet to recieve a reply. all this was done about 2 weeks ago. i have yet to recieve the rebate check.

Viewsonic makes great monitors but they are SLOW with the rebates. I sent in a 20.00 one on 10/31/00 and received it yesterday. Glad I got it but 12 weeks is a little excessive. On the other hand, I just received an email from Kingston stating that my rebate had been "Approved" and to wait an additional 8 weeks for the check. I.E. 12 weeks on that one.

I also did the $50 rebate on the PF790 I bought. I got a notice in the mail saying that I had an "Invalid A90 Monitor UPC". This sucks. I need to call them up and try and get this solved. I'll let you guys know what happens.

We need a rebate forum so that these rebate promotions aren't stolen from us.. It is happening all the time and we need to stick together to stomp this out..
That crap about the wrong UPC is an old tactic to save money.Everyone
sends the UPC symbol the dated and signed rebate form and a copy of the receipt. Yet these promotional companies seem to try this bullcrap...

Not only their monitors suck, but also the CS. I have been waiting for the rebate for more than 100 days, called them twice, emailed them 5 times, and everytime, they told me that the rebate was fine, and a check will be issued soon. But I am still waiting for it...

I will never never touch this bitch brand.

They are using that horrible rebateshq.com place in Coppell, TX. They lost so many of my rebates (mostly staples.com rebates and a Sony CDRW one) that I hate dealing with them. So now I always check rebates out to see if the address for the MIR is Coppell,TX and then just don't submit those. A huge hassle dealing with those people.
