You are like on the genius level.....

Multiple languages take up so much memory (in your brain).... I don't see how people can speak stuff like English, Russian, Spanish, Japanese..... all fluently...

That is just crazy.

I took 3 Spanish classes in High School, and I basically got a grasp on sentnece structure and a lot of vocabulary.... but Spanish is EASY compared to other languages.

To know a language is maybe a bit of an overstatement... If you can understand a few things doesn't mean you know it... :(

I think you're right...

I used to speak absolutely fluent italian...with a bad accent.
I speak korean
I speak english.

But since I went to college, it's like my brain threw out some italian to make room for more junk.

I need a HD upgrade.

Reminds me a story my teacher once told me...

My teacher's friend (female) speaks English (primary), Latin and German, and she got into a car accident. She fell into coma for two years, and when she woke up, she could only speak Latin and French!:Q She had to find someone who speaks French/Latin to teacher her English, and now English is like a foreign language to her.

Freaky....

Languages are MUCH MUCH easier to pick up when you're young. After a certain age it becomes incredibly difficult.

I think at around 13-14 your ability to pick up a language is dwindled nearly completely..and incidentally that's when most people start high school and begin learning a new language.

In Canada they teach you English/French in Elementary school, which makes a hell of a lot more sense..

I know (am learning) Latin and Spanish. While you really dun speak latin, its an extremely complex language. As well it helps out mah vocabulary a lot, you would not believe how many words you've never heard of before are derived from latin and you can get the general meaning of the word by knowing latin.

Careful. Some people don't take too kindly to spelling corrections. You might become a stalker overnight. :Q

I am trying to apply for the FBI as special agent. They need people who know a foreign language which they are interested in. I will see how that works out.
