For those of you in school, do you have any lame teachers?

Like for those who are taking IT related classes, do you have some teachers who just spout a lot of BS about certain topics? I'm taking Networking Prep which is basically Introduction to Networking. The teacher was asking questions like "Who here runs Linux?", "Who here leaves their computer on all day?" weird stuff like that. He was like ohhhhhhhh, if you leave it on all day you're going to get hacked. He was also like "Who does their banking online?" Then people raised their hands and he was like ohhhhhhhhhhhhh someone already has your info and you should make sure your check your statements for any fraudulent activity. I was just thinking wtf are you talking about?

Anyone else have weird teachers like this who say stupid stuff?

I have my first day of Intro to Local Area Networks today, so I'll report back with what I hear later today lol.
 
I had a *really* lame teacher once - he lost a fight with a table saw over spring break :Q 😛

EDIT: (before somebody yells at me) He survived; it mangled his hand pretty well, though.

Wow, my computers been on for about 5 years now (with the occassional power outages or reboots). I musta been hacked up the ying yang a gabillion times now.
 
My high school mechanics teacher would force you to do pushups if you were late to class. "Drop down and give me 20" he'd say. So, what people did was drop down on the floor between the desks (where he couldn't see us) and simply count out loud "one, two, three. four...". Because he could hear us but not see us, nobody actually did a single pushup. They just counted out loud and groaned as if we were actually doing something, but we were just laying on our bellies doing ah heck all. Ah, the good old days. I recently had my 20 year high school reunion and discovered this teacher had succumb to Cancer a few years back. Good memories though.

After the accident in my post above, said teacher *was* on the Happy Pills. He admitted to being high as a kite in class.

The Java Programming class im sitting in at this moment, has a teacher that bareley speaks english. Hard to understand and harder to follow.
