I dislike shaving because my skin tends to get very irritated after shaving. I used to use Aveeno shaving gel and that was nice but I can't seem to find it anymore.

I ran across the Nivea for sensitive skin stuff this past weekend and just used it. It seems to be very nice. I bought a travel pack that included 4 products. I only used the shaving gel and after shave and I liked them both.

I look forward to being a bit more clean-shaven at work!

Please post if you have any other suggestions for good products for shaving with sensitive skin.

I like to shave in the shower...allow time for water to dilate everything slightly. It comes of so much easier and smoother. I've heard of the wonders of shaving in a sauna and I'm very much interested, although I haven't had the chance...

soap vs. cream has little to do with how sensitive your skin is and is more a matter of personal preference

Clinique makes good stuff for men. Never religiously used it myself, but my friends who use it say it's helped.

OP, part of your problem may be in not getting your beard wet enough, it's like trying to cut copper wire if it's not wet enough.

I shave in the shower and just use soap, but I get my whiskers very wet first.

Anyone have a good cheap source of those Fusion blades? They really make a difference.

I get my supply from all the giveaways they do. Between those and the free Schick Quattros, I never have to buy razors.

Shaving in the shower rocks. I switched to it about 5 months ago and haven't looked back.

For me the key on how not to get razor burns is to wash my face with the hottest water bearable before shaving.

I don't have a problem with razor burn. I use a mach3 with gillette moisturizing cream. The reason I hate shaving is because it has to be done so often, so usually i leave it until it starts to really bother me before i shave.

I'd imagine that it's pretty easy to ignore shaving irritation when you're stoned.

I've seen some long term studies regarding shaving with and without a lubricant (soap, shaving cream, etc.) and it really makes your face rough after several years if you don't use one. I'll never shave without a lubricant and I don't really care what anyone else does because they have to deal with their face looking like rough leather later.
