For those experienced with PocketPCs, I could use some help.

Got my Axim X5 about a month ago and been playing with it a lot. However I can't find any software for it that will let me play divx movies and such on it. I've tried PocketDivx but I keep getting Video Error: "This file contains an incompatible video format"

I'd also like to know which format would be best to rip some dvd's into so I can store them on my CF card and watch them on the road.

Also, good sites that have the software, good software, what's worth buying, ect..

Just a few cents worth...I'm not sure about the divx format but you can get many movies for the pocket pc by doing a search in google. Just a few sites:
Site 1
Site 2
Site 3
BTW, what size mem cards are you hoping to get a DVD on?

Get PocketMVP it is better than pocket divx (most updated) also you can NOT play a desktop divx on your PPC, you have to have it specially encoded for the PPC.

I did this with a few movies. You can actually get a decent looking movie at about 150MB. There are directions at pockemovies.net . Also, check out the forums at Brighthand.com (excellent site). Directions.

I don't recall if I found it myself or was directed to it somehow by one of you but this guide simply is the best.

151mbs for Scorpian King on my first shot.
