Lol. If you get those 200 computers you be doing more than the whole rest of the team :). Installing the program to 200+ computers take at least 3h 20 mins (5 computers at a time). But thats really optimistic probably will take a lot of longer.

I sure wish I could put it on all of them but it would just be to much work. :( But hopefully I can get the thirty mentioned before. :)

No os 9 D2OL client! :Q Hmm that will cut down a bit... Only have 23 or so running OS X! Well hmmmm thats disapointing. I can't belive I didn't notice that. I must of just figured that since there was a OS X client there should be a OS 9.... Man was I wrong. :(

I'm thinking about giving D2OL a try, and I have a couple questions.

1. Does D2OL work ok with a dial up connection?
2. I know SETI likes high FSB, is this true with D2OL?
3. Do AMD processors do well with D2OL?

Yes it works with dialup, and AMD does very well with it. I think it shares equally with SETI for processor cycles but D2OL does take a lot more memory resources. We have a lot of new members who on the whole are happy campers. The new Agent has caused a few problems with later versions of Linux that can be updated with a later Rpm file, and the Windows 95 machines seem to not like the new Agent. The 98 and up OS seem to do well. The Linux OS and its derivitives however outperform the windows OS overall. This weekend the servers are having a little problem keeping up with Candidates but that should be resolved soon.

Hope this helps

I was asked to post this info here, so here goes:
To save your node id and stats info copy node.prp and stats.prp from the SengentD2OL\D2OL\res\ folder to somewhere safe, then if you need to reinstall for whatever reason, after reinstallation but before running D2OL copy them back to the same folder.
Just remember, keep a recent copy of stats.prp.

Tip for Dspy users; don`t copy DSpy into the SengentD2OL folder, if you do a reinstall it will get wiped along with the log file.
