Is there a decent calculator you prefer? I recently landed an accounting job and the calculator they gave me was horrible. I see managers and staff taking around different ones. Which are some pretty good models?

That's what my boss uses, it's nice. I just have a $5 calculator and use windows calc or excel.

same, windows calc works just fine for me so i didn't bother to buy a separate 10 key.

Calculator? I use my computer for everything. Excel baby!!! Excel!!!

I do have a standard adding machine on my desk that I use but most everything I do is in spreadsheets.

I use my fingers.

Actually, I use an old Casio DR-210HD printing 10-key calculator. Other than that, I use Excel.

edit: I just noticed a lot of Lifer accountants in this thread, hmmmm.......

Moffsoft Freecalc.. it's like the Windows calc but keeps a running tape you can print out

that's pretty cool.

some of my work is done on scanned client documents. we've got a cool add-on to PDF called PDFlyer that has a 10-key function. you type the amounts in and then it creates a text box just like paper tape that is embedded into the document.
