Refresh rate is probably limited by your monitors. The higher you go, the lower it gets usually.

another dual monitor question:

Is it possible to have a taskbar for each monitor? Also, if I run stuff like OE, AIM, MSN, on the second monitor, is there anyways to get those off the taskbar on the first monitor, yet still have the actual programs open on the second?

I just got my 8500 in today...running 1152x876 or something on both monitors, 85Hz. I had to force the refresh rate on the second monitor as it only natively support 60Hz at that resolution.

I do too! *giggle*

I run my 21" at 1280x1024 70Hz
and my 17" is 1024x768 80Hz.

The 21" goes much higher, but the differential between it and the 17" which only goes up to 1280 at 60Hz and is practically unreadable, becomes rather annoying.

The 21" only runs at 70Hz because it's a fixed-frequency Trinitron.
I got it for $15. Sue me :)

Yep, I do exactly that. a program called Ultramon ... search on google. It has a free 30 day trial.

Oh, and I run 2 15" LCDs (listed in sig). Both are at native resolution of 1024x768, and 75 Hz.

I run 5 monitors across two systems and every single one is at the monitor's max res and refresh rate.

monitor 1: 21" Trinitron @1600x1200x32x85Hz hooked up to a 32MB GF2GTS (AGP)
monitor 2: 15" Apple LCD @1024x768x16x60Hz hooked up to a 4MB S3 ViRGE (PCI)

dual-monitor controller: NVidia's nView

BTW there's no need to run LCD displays at anything higher than 60Hz.... they don't refresh in the same way that CRTs do.

ok figured out the problem i was stretching the desktop across 2 before now there set up independently. the one on the left w/ the start menu and such is a 17in at 1152x864 at 75 HZ and the one on the right is a 19 in at 1600 x1200 at 75 Hz

now if i could only find a background that wouldn?t center itself on the bigger resolution and would stretch itself that world be nice. Anyone know how to do this????? have the wallpaper be full screen on both monitors with did resolutions?
